3 Ingredient Recipes: Slow Cooker Crock Pot Dinners

Slow cookers or crock pots make it easy to put together a healthy dinner with a short amount of prep time. While the meal will take a while to cook, once you have everything assembled in the pot, you won't have to do much else until it's nearly time to eat. There are a number of great slow cooker dinner recipes that only require 3 ingredients. It doesn't get much more simple than that. Happy cooking!

You can use your slow cooker to make many different types of pulled sandwiches. Chicken thighs work well. There are also a number of variations for this recipe with different beverages, most notably cola and beer. If you're going to eat pulled pork as sandwiches, you'll need some kind of bun. Pull together a few simple sides, such as a fresh green salad or cut up fruit.
2-5 cans on coconut milk, 1-2 chicken breasts or thighs, cut into cubes, 1-3 tablespoons of Mae Ploy curry paste. Add vegetables such as onions, carrots, and broccoli or cubed potatoes. If you want a vegan recipe, substitute the vegetables for the chicken.

What else you'll need to serve dinner:
Rice to serve with it. Make this process simple with a rice cooker, minute rice, or a microwave rice bowl. If you opt for potatoes, most likely you don't need the rice.
4-6 chicken breasts or thighs, 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 packet onion soup mix
Add vegetables of your choosing. Substitute the mushroom soup for a different cream soup, such as cream of chicken or celery.

What else you'll need to serve dinner:
This is wonderful served over mashed potatoes, rice, or toast.
1 package of frozen meatballs, 1 jar chili sauce (12 oz.), 1 jar grape jelly

5-6 chicken breasts or thighs, 1 envelope taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning), 1 jar of salsa (12 oz.)
Switch up the chicken for pork. You can up the spice level by adjusting your homemade seasoning, selecting a spicy store bought variety, or adding extra seasoning. Instead of serving this as tacos, make nachos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, etc.

What else you'll need to serve dinner:
Tortilla and/or taco shells and toppings (i.e. lettuce, sour cream, cheese). This will all come together very quickly when you're ready to eat.
4-6 chicken breasts, 1 jar of Hawaiian barbecue sauce (look for the Archer Farms variety at Target), 1 jar of pineapple chunks (20 oz, drained).
Try it with pork instead of chicken. Switch up the barbecue sauce if that variety isn't to your liking. Kick up the spice with your own seasonings and/or with a spicy sauce. Add chopped green pepper and onion.

Rice to serve with it.
3.5 lb cut of beef (shoulder, arm, or chuck roast), 1 packet Italian seasoning dressing mix, 3 beef bouillon cubes. You'll also add a cup of water.
Switch up the seasonings.

If you're making your beef into sandwiches, you'll need buns or rolls.
4 chicken breasts, 1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix (look for Hidden Valley), 1 bottle Franks buffalo wing sauce (17.5 oz.)
If you're serving the chicken breasts whole as an entree, make sure that they're cooked thoroughly. If you'd like to shred them for sandwiches, cook them until they shred easily with a fork.

If you're serving this as an entree, it pairs well with rice or noodles and a salad or vegetable side. If you're serving this as sandwiches, make sure to pick up some rolls or buns.
